BPL 11/12: ARSENAL 0-2 LIVERPOOL VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS, KEKALAHAN PERTAMA + KAD MERAH KEDUA
Imagine my shock bila team sheet ditayangkan, Bacary Sagna akan bermain posisi bek kiri. Aku rasa memang ada something wrong dengan ini Wenger! Degil tak mau beli defender. Berani mati punya orang! But that’s why I love Arsene and Arsenal! Aku bisa saja sokong Manchester City kelab terkaya atau pindah cinta pada Queens Park Rangers (team pilihan aku setiap kali bermain Football Manager, tahun 2015 juara Champions League ni! ikut game Football Manager yang aku main tulah) yang kini milik Tony Fernandes billionaire kaya. Falsafah Wenger memang tak semua faham but he wasn’t known ‘Le Professeur’ for nothing you know!
Betapa struggle Sagna pada tugas baru ini, tidak ada satu cross ataupun hantaran berkualiti dari beliau dalam match tadi. To make matter worse, the man who should link together with Sagna bermain macam dodol alias samdol iaitu tak lain tak bukan Mr Andrey Arshavin. Kelemahan di bahagian sayap dimanipulasi dengan baik oleh Liverpool dengan larian-larian pantas oleh Downing, Jose Enrique dan Carroll yang menanti crossing berbahaya ke kotak penalti Arsenal.
Sungguhpun demikian, Szczesny bermain cemerlang malam tadi dan gandingan Vermaelen dan Miquel yang menggantikan Koscielny bermain dengan baik sekali. Emmanuel Frimpong juga menunjukkan permainan yang berkualiti sehinggalah tragedi kad merah yang melanda. Nasri diturunkan malam ini dan mungkin menjadi perlawanan yang terakhir untuknya bersama The Gunners. Namun tiada impak yang berkesan selain larian solo dari kawasan Arsenal yang disudahi dengan tendangan lencong yang tersasar. I’m not impressed though!
Sungguh hampa sekali dibahagian serangan, van Persie, Walcott dan Mr Andrey Arshavin gagal melakukan percubaan berbisa yang boleh dibanggakan.

Kad merah Frimpong menjadi titik mula Liverpool mengekploitasi perlawanan dan sejurus itu Kenny Dalglish memasukkan Suarez dan Meireles. Kedua pemain ini bertanggungjawab dalam kedua-dua gol Liverpool.
Gol pertama Liverpool ihsan dari Ramsey. Meireles cuba menghantar bola kepada Suarez yang nyata berada pada kedudukan offside. Miquel berjaya membuat interception namun dalam keadaan tekanan, membuat clearance yang terkena badan Ramsey dan terus masuk ke gawang Gunners. Ouchh!
Kekalahan malam ini sesuatu yang membimbangkan apatah lagi dengan situasi kecederaan dan penggantungan pemain utama menjelang perlawanan Manchester United.

Kesilapan Almunia menjadi punca kehilangan dua mata berharga didalam perlawanan ini.
Walaupun bangkit dari ketinggalan 0-2 namun kekecewaan tidak tertebus setelah gagal memanfaatkan kekalahan Manchester United kepada Liverpool pada perlawanan sebelumnya.

UCL 2010/11: BARCELONA 3-1 ARSENAL EXTENDED VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS, AH.. I DON’T MIND WE LOSING THIS!
Many will say that the referee was the cause of our team losing so pathetically. But I wouldn’t buy that considering the way we play for the whole match. I don’t want to talk about that stupid red card BUT if Van Persie do stay on the pitch I doubt that Arsenal will ever turn the game.
Barcelona was great. They dominate the game while we’re just chasing shadows.
I was surprise to the inclusion of Rosicky playing the right wing. And to put Arshavin on the bench? Wenger why?
There are sometimes Wenger’s decision for the starting line-up really confound me and being unable to correct things on the second half make me even frustrated.
But still I rather we lose this than the FA Cup and the EPL Title.
We will facing Manchester United in the FA Cup Quarter-Final this Sunday. Should we win this, then only Manchester City the big obstacle ahead. We have a great record with Man City. We have to win this FA Cup.
At the moment, Man Utd are 3 points above us in the EPL race. And we have one game in hand. Should we win the game against West Brom on 19 March with 4 goal margin then we’re top of the league. After that with only 9 more games to play, the EPL title are ours to lose. We have to win all the remaining games.
This two big tasks, once we’ve completed successfully; will erase the bad memory of losing so pathetically against Barcelona last night.

FA CUP 2010/11 5TH ROUND: LEYTON ORIENT 1-1 ARSENAL, WHAT A STRANGE RUN OF FA CUP DO WE HAD!
Leyton Orient play poorly but I might say the same to Arsenal.
90 minutes full of possesion but with poor passes and a low commitment from the players.
If you can’t score goal let alone win against a poor opponent, then something is wrong.
A prospect of facing Manchester United in the next round yet we have to face another unnecessary replay at the Emirates Stadium. With a tight schedule and a little option on the attacking and defensive department, a replay match is the last thing in our mind.
On a bright note, Ignasi Miquel finally made it to the first eleven and made a decent performance. Thomas Rosicky finally scored his first goal of the season for the Gunners.
This is one of our poorest performance and I am still scratching my head to pick my Man of The Match!
I’ll pick Chamakh as our worst player tonight. Yes.. with Alex Song as well.

Arsenal had to settle for a point after letting slip a four-goal lead in a thriller at St. James’ Park.
Theo Walcott fired the visitors ahead with their first attack and Johan Djourou nodded in a second inside three minutes from Andrey Arshavin’s free-kick to put Arsenal firmly in charge.
Robin van Persie slammed home a third after 10 minutes and headed a fourth before the half-hour mark as Newcastle chased shadows.
But the game was transformed after the break as Djourou limped off and Abou Diaby was sent off.
Joey Barton rolled in one penalty and converted another after Leon Best had struck. That set up a grandstand finish and Cheik Tiote fired in an equaliser with three minutes left.
It was the ultimate ‘game of two halves’ and, at the end of it all, Arsenal failed to keep the pressure on Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.
They will need to pick themselves up – somehow – when Wolves visit Emirates Stadium next weekend.
The major injury doubt ahead of this trip north was Alex Song. He was given a 30 per cent chance of recovering from the leg injury he sustained against Everton in midweek but failed to beat those odds. Diaby stepped up from the bench and so did Arshavin – the Russian replaced Tomas Rosicky.
There was a familiar face on the Newcastle bench – Sol Campbell – and by common consensus this was a good time to face the former Gunner’s latest club. Andy Carroll would not have been fit to face Arsenal but his £35million deadline-day departure to Liverpool has left St. James’ Park under a cloud.
Lest we forget, Carroll’s towering header won the reverse fixture at Emirates Stadium this season and, in his absence, the likes of Djourou and Laurent Koscielny were probably expecting a more comfortable afternoon.
But perhaps not as comfortable as the first half turned out.
A roar greeted the home side as Phil Dowd blew the first whistle but the black-and-white hoards were silenced within 43 seconds. That’s how long it took for Walcott to slip a low shot past Steve Harper after Arshavin’s flick had found him in his favourite position, just right of centre on the shoulder of the last defender.
Newcastle’s fans must be sick of the sight of Walcott – he scored twice here in the Carling Cup in October – but they had other players to worry about soon enough.
The first of those was Djourou. Less than three minutes had elapsed when the Swiss centre back met Arshavin’s pacy left-wing free-kick to direct a header in off the underside of the bar. It was his first goal for the Club and rich reward for his recent form.
Dazed and confused, Newcastle were there for the taking. And Arsenal twisted the knife after 10 minutes with a carbon copy of their opener at West Ham last month. Walcott picked out Van Persie from the right of the penalty area and the Dutchman fired first-time past Harper.
When this place is noisy you can’t hear the pocket of away fans high in the upper reaches of the upper tier. Now they were all you could hear. It was almost eerie.
As Newcastle tried desperately to gain a foothold in the match, Arsenal continued to carve out chances. Walcott sent a ‘pitching wedge’ over the bar from Fabregas’ pass, Arshavin just failed to pick out Wilshere’s charge into the box, Diaby volleyed just wide and Harper saved well from Fabregas following a cute flick from Wilshere.
For their part, the hosts looked most dangerous when they fizzed crosses into the Arsenal box. Mike Williamson got up well to meet one but Kevin Nolan inadvertently nodded his header away from danger.
A rather more emphatic header brought the visitors their fourth goal in the 26th minute. A flurry of one-touch passes ended with Sagna in acres of space to measure a cross from the right. Van Persie arrived unmarked to flash a header past Harper.
The Dutchman admitted after his recent Wigan treble that he had come to terms with the prospect of never scoring a hat-trick. Yet he was on the cusp of another treble. Only a wayward finish and a solid Harper save denied him that pleasure before the break.
Arsenal could not have asked for a better start to the first half. They could not have asked for a worse start to the second period.
Within three minutes of the restart Djourou hobbled down the tunnel with an injury. A few minutes later Diaby followed him after being shown a straight red card for shoving Barton to the ground – a reaction to a heavy challenge from his fellow midfielder.
Suddenly, Newcastle’s tails were up.
Szczesny saved well from Danny Simpson after the right back bundled his way into the box but the Pole had no chance with Barton’s penalty, hit low to the keeper’s right after Koscielny was adjudged to have fouled Best.
Interestingly, Nolan wrestled Szczesny to the ground as he tried to retrive the ball after the spot-kick – much like Diaby did to Barton. The result? A yellow card… for the Arsenal keeper.
Szczesny made another decent stop from Williamson’s header but, with 16 minutes left, he was beaten again. This time Best did well to bring down a left-wing cross and slide the ball under the keeper.
The atmosphere was much different now and Newcastle flew at Arsenal. But Szczesny came into his own, saving brilliantly from substitute Nile Ranger and handling a barrage of crosses with great assurance.
Newcastle sensed a miraculous comeback and Barton gave them added hope when he converted another penalty after Koscielny was again penalised.
The great escape was complete when Tiote slammed in a shot from the edge of the area and Nolan could even have won it when his effort skimmed just wide in stoppage time.
Arsenal were stunned.

At 70th minute, I thought we’re going to have double-joy celebration, with the team leads by two goal and Manchester United was 0-2 down to Blackpool. By the time Cesc wraps the match with the 3rd goal, Manchester Utd leveled the score through Dimitar and Chicharito. Argh!
Within the last minutes of both games I constantly switching between the two channels. Then Man U leads. Damn! Poor Ian Holloway.
But hey, finally we did it. Reach the final of the Carling Cup. Stellar performance from all the players. If not all. On the negative note, we lose Sagna in the first half and had to be rushed to the hospital.

2. Memasuki minit ke-50, tiba-tiba tekanan darah kami bertukar menjadi turun naik, dan keselesaan menikmati perlawanan pada separuh masa pertama tadi telah bertukar menjadi suasana yang resah dan gelisah.
3. Kami menghidu bahaya apabila, Wolves menguasai babak kedua perlawanan dan mencipta gerakan berbahaya ke gol Arsenal.
4. Keperwiraan Fabianski yang banyak menyelamatkan gerakan merbahaya Wolves masih belum cukup apabila The Gunners masih mencari-cari gol kedua.
5. Kelihatan Nasri, Walcott dan Bendtner sedang melakukan larian setempat untuk memanaskan badan berkemungkinan untuk dimasukkan

Malam yang mengecewakan untuk Arsenal.
Kekalahan ini menyebabkan Arsenal ketinggalan 3 mata kepada Manchester United dan kemungkinan 8 mata kepada pendahulu Chelsea (sekiranya menang menentang Liverpool sebentar lagi). Koscileny dilayangkan kad merah menambah derita Gunners. Dah nasib!

Rata-rata peminat mengeji sifat Almunia apabila berada di depan gawang gol Arsenal terutama sekali ketika set-piece oleh pihak lawan walaupun sebenarnya Almunia yang kami kenali ini bersifat baik hati, pemalu dan terror kungfu apabila berada diluar padang. Kemarahan peminat terhadap Almunia makin memuncak pada perlawanan ini apabila Almunia didapati telah melakukan lompatan tarzan secara membabi-buta dihadapan gawang. Walhal beliau sendiri tahu melakukan lompatan ini adalah menyalahi etika kegolkeeperan. Sungguhpun demikian, terdapat aura poti positif pada persembahan Almunia malam semalam terutamanya ketika dengan selamba menepis bola deras sepakan percuma Stephen Gerrard, kapten pasukan Liverpool. Sepakan deras Gerrard ini yang berukuran 15 skala ritcher dari aras laut amat menggugat kedudukan Arsenal pada ketika itu namun dapat diselamatkan oleh Almunia. Syabas Almunia! Setelah mendapat pengesahan daripada Wenger bahawa Almunia akan menjadi no.1 di Emirates (sekurang-kurangnya hingga pertengahan musim) dan kenyataan Wenger bahawa tidak akan meneruskan minat terhadap Schwazer sudah pasti serba sedikit akan menaikkan semangat 1Arsenal dalam diri sahabat kita ini iaitu Manuel Almunia.
2. Gandingan Koscielny + Vermaelen
Sungguhpun menerima kad merah pada penampilan sulung, Koscielny mempamerkan permainan yang membanggakan dan menunjukkan keserasian seperti pinang dibelah dua dalam berpasangan dan berhubungan dengan Vermaelen. 4.Rosicky
Rosicky menunjukkan kualiti sebenar. Mencipta peluang dengan daya kreativiti yang tidak ditunjukkan oleh Nasri dan Wilshere. Sekiranya digandingkan dengan Eboue pada malam semalam sudah pasti mencipta lebih banyak peluang untuk Arsenal.
