Kali terakhir Arsenal menjulang piala ialah pada tahun 2005 apabila menjuarai Piala FA menewaskan Manchester United 5-4 melalui penentuan sepakan penalti.

Hari ini hanya Cesc Fabregas, Van Persie dan Manuel Almunia yang masih kekal dalam skuad itu. Kini majoriti pemain Arsenal adalah anak muda hasil didikan Arsene Wenger selama 5 tahun kebelakangan ini.
Sepanjang penantian itu, pelbagai tohmahan dan kritikan yang diterima oleh Wenger mengenai pemain muda Arsenal. Ramai beranggapan pemain-pemain muda ini kurang pengalaman dan menggesa Wenger untuk membentuk skuad melalui pembelian pemain-pemain baru yang sudah ternama. Kritikan dan gesaan ini juga sering juga di laungkan oleh penyokong Arsenal sendiri melalui forum-forum dalam talian ataupun laman-laman sosial.

1. I’ll favor Szczesny over Almunia in goal.
2. Sagna, Koscielny, Djourou, Clichy to form the defence unit.
3. Although I’ve sense a lack of form in previous matches, I still prefer Song to partner with Wilshere.
4. With Cesc certainly not play, I’ll put Diaby in his place.
5. Nasri to play right-wing, Arshavin in left-wing.
6. Van Persie will do the damage at the attack.
7. Hope no fresh injury to the players.
8. Expecting a comfortable win, predict 3-0 scoreline.

At 70th minute, I thought we’re going to have double-joy celebration, with the team leads by two goal and Manchester United was 0-2 down to Blackpool. By the time Cesc wraps the match with the 3rd goal, Manchester Utd leveled the score through Dimitar and Chicharito. Argh!
Within the last minutes of both games I constantly switching between the two channels. Then Man U leads. Damn! Poor Ian Holloway.
But hey, finally we did it. Reach the final of the Carling Cup. Stellar performance from all the players. If not all. On the negative note, we lose Sagna in the first half and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Tapi kita paham juga Manager Wenger ada slow-talk sama kita mau rotate itu players, players ada litih juga, okey kita paham. Tapi sapa mau jawab kalu team ada kalah?? Aiyo.. kita kaki sudah ada sebelah masok. Kita rasa kasi all-out saja, full-squad boleh main kasi hantam opponent ini. 5-0. Menang masuk final. Habis crita la!

Musti mau kasi 5 atau lebey golla. Itu hari kalah aa..kemaluan sudah besar. Hati tak sinangla. Musti kasi kina balik aa. Fabregas kasi hatrik, Van Pirsie kasi hatrik, 5-0 la. Musti menang. Malaysia Boleh!

Musti tengo.. lepas kirja mau trus tido juga. Wake-up jam ampat trus tengola. Beso kirja shift kawan juga sudah tukar. Saya kawan itu Manchester punya worang, Arsenal dia tak suka. Kawan Vietnam sini mari sama-sama kirja.
